The Milestone Exterior Painting System

Milestone Painting is committed to providing a consistent quality service to all of its customers. We have therefore created the Milestone Exterior Painting System, which all of our employees are trained to follow.

Uniform

• White company t-shirt
• White painter pants or shorts
• CSA "Green Trianle" rated footwear

Workshop Setup

• A workshop shall be set up on-site upon commencement of the project
• This area will be somewhere out of the way such as the side of the house or under the deck.
• All paint shall be pour in this area with the exception of trays which will be filled in the immediate work area
• Work Shop must be clean at the end of every day
• All empty cans must be left with lids off

Painting Procedure

• Power Washing (If necessary)
• Scrape all loose and peeling paint to a solid base
• Prime all bare and scraped areas
• Repair missing putty and caulking
• Trim is to be painted
• Siding is to be painted
• All deck, fence and miscellanious items are to be painted
• Clean up

Clean Up

• All unused paint is to be labeled and left with the client (except whites, blacks and all primer)
  *If client insists that we remove left over paint there is a $5/gallon and $10/five gallon charge. This charge is based on numbers of cans even if they are only partially full.
• All empty cans (which should be dry) must be placed in a garbage bag and left with the clients garbage
• All empty pails should be kept for further use
