The Milestone Interior Painting System
Milestone Painting is committed to providing a consistent quality service to all of its customers. We have therefore created the Milestone Interior Painting System, which all of our employees are trained to follow.
Uniform
- White company t-shirt
- White painter pants or shorts
- CSA "Green Trianle" rated footwear
Workshop Setup
- A workshop shall be set up on-site upon commencement of the project
- This area will be somewhere out of the way such as a basement, garage or laundry room
- All paint shall be pour in this area with the exception of trays which will be filled in the immediate work area
- Work Shop must be clean at the end of every day
- All empty cans must be left with lids off
Painting Procedure
- Room preparation
- All washing is to be completed
- All prep work is to take place (filling, caulking & sanding)
- Surfaces will be pole sanded
- Vacuum and/or sweeping of dust
- Taping to be performed (if necessary)
- Prime where necessary
- Ceilings are to be painted
- Trim is to be painted
- Walls are to be painted
- Clean up
Clean Up
- All unused paint is to be labeled and left with the client (except whites, blacks and all primer)
*If client insists that we remove left over paint there is a $5/gallon and $10/five gallon charge. This charge is based on numbers of cans even if they are only partially full.
- All empty cans (which should be dry) must be placed in a garbage bag and left with the clients garbage
- All empty pails should be kept for further use
